Theatre
Rising seniors have a summer internship to complete as their
assignment (Independent Project), which is 3000 words (journal entries,
etc) and due upon returning to school in August.

Do the following observational drawing assignments on 14 X
17 inch drawing paper or larger:

a drawing of a bike
·
a corner of a room (using perspective)

a still life arrangement of objects from your
kitchen
·
These assignments will be your first grades. We will
have a group critique the first week back.

Rubrics for evaluation:
o
Creative use of material
o
Accurate/technically proficient
o
Using 7-10 different values (with charcoal or
pencil)
o
Compositional arrangement (not centered in the
middle)
In your RWB:
o
Preview one of the virtual galleries on my
teacherweb “links” page. Look at either IBO Virtual Gallery,
MOMA, or www.redraggallery.co.uk.
o
Choose two different images to recreate in your RWB
and then write a formal analysis on the art images. (Describe, analyze
composition, interpret meaning and judge the effectiveness of the artists
ability to create the image)
